What sets our approach apart
Your pace, not ours
Sessions are deliberately spaced. You are never asked to absorb more than you are ready for, and decisions are left with you.
Malaysian context throughout
EPF, PRS, e-wallets, Malaysian tax residency — all content is grounded in the financial landscape you actually navigate.
No sales, no products
We do not sell financial products or earn commissions. Our only work is helping you understand your own records and decisions.
Method that fits the person
Whether you prefer paper ledgers, spreadsheets, or a phone application — the format adapts to your habits, not the other way around.
Plain language, always
Financial jargon is unpacked where it needs to be, and left out where it does not. Materials are written to be re-read, not filed away.
Small groups, close attention
Workshop numbers are kept modest so that questions are heard and the pace of the group can be adjusted when needed.
TAKE THE NEXT STEP WHEN YOU ARE READY
Not sure where to begin? That is a reasonable place to start.
Write to us or call — we are glad to spend a few minutes helping you understand which programme, if any, might be a reasonable fit for where you are right now.
QUESTIONS
Things people often ask us
Do I need any financial background before attending a workshop?
No prior knowledge is needed. The Keeping a Personal Ledger workshop is designed for adults who are starting from scratch. The facilitator will adjust the pace to suit the room.
Are these sessions conducted in English only?
Our primary language is English, though the facilitator is comfortable switching to Bahasa Malaysia when that helps a participant follow more comfortably. Please mention your preference when you enquire.
How often are the Saturday workshops scheduled?
The Keeping a Personal Ledger workshop runs on selected Saturdays throughout the year, typically once every four to six weeks. Write to us and we will let you know the upcoming dates.
What is the difference between the Pre-Retirement programme and a financial advisor?
Our programme is educational, not advisory. We help you understand the structure of your retirement decisions — EPF phases, PRS options, post-retirement income — so that when you do speak with an advisor or make a decision, you understand what you are looking at. We do not sell any financial products and do not receive any commissions.
Can the Family Record-Keeping engagement be done remotely?
The initial review session works better in person since we go through physical documents together. Subsequent meetings can be conducted by video call if that is more convenient for your household. We discuss the format when you first get in touch.
How is my personal financial information handled?
Any documents or figures you share with us are used only within the scope of your engagement and are not disclosed to third parties. We hold no client data beyond the duration of the engagement unless you specifically ask us to keep a copy for reference.
What is included in the programme fees?
Workshop materials are included in the Keeping a Personal Ledger fee. For the Pre-Retirement Reading Programme, session notes and a reading list are provided at no additional cost. For the Family Record-Keeping engagement, the concluding written guide describing your household's system is included in the engagement fee.
