1. About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between Quipu & Co (referred to as "we", "us", or "the practice") and any individual or household (referred to as "you" or "the participant") who registers for, attends, or otherwise engages with our educational workshops and programmes.
By completing a registration or making a payment, you indicate that you have read and understood these terms. If any part is unclear, you are welcome to contact us before proceeding.
2. Nature of Our Programmes
Quipu & Co provides financial education. Our workshops and programmes are designed to help participants understand financial concepts, build record-keeping habits, and think more clearly about their financial decisions.
We do not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, tax advice, or legal counsel. Nothing shared during our sessions should be treated as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial product. Participants are encouraged to consult a licensed financial adviser, tax professional, or lawyer for matters specific to their personal circumstances.
Our facilitators hold relevant educational qualifications but are not licensed under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 or the Financial Services Act 2013 to provide regulated advice.
3. Registration and Payment
Registration is confirmed upon receipt of full payment. Prices are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of all materials described in the programme outline.
| Programme | Fee (RM) |
|---|---|
| Keeping a Personal Ledger Workshop | RM 520 |
| Pre-Retirement Reading Programme | RM 2,280 |
| Family Record-Keeping Engagement | RM 3,850 |
Fees are reviewed periodically. The fee confirmed in writing at the time of registration applies to your booking and will not change retroactively.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling
We understand that circumstances change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please inform us as early as possible so that we can accommodate you or make the place available to others.
- More than 14 days before the session: Full credit toward a future date, or a refund less an administrative fee of RM 50.
- 7 to 14 days before the session: Credit toward a future date. Refunds are not available in this window.
- Fewer than 7 days before the session: Credits and refunds cannot be offered. In exceptional circumstances, we will consider requests at our discretion.
For multi-session programmes, cancellation terms apply to the programme as a whole rather than to individual sessions.
5. Cancellation by Quipu & Co
Occasionally we may need to reschedule or cancel a session due to circumstances beyond our control — for instance, if a minimum number of participants has not been reached, or if a facilitator is unavailable due to illness.
In such cases, we will inform you as promptly as we can and offer either a full refund or an alternative date at your preference. We do not accept liability for costs incurred in connection with your attendance, such as travel or accommodation.
6. Conduct and Participation
Our sessions are designed to be calm and collaborative. We ask that participants treat facilitators and fellow attendees with courtesy, and that they engage with the material at their own pace without pressure.
We reserve the right to ask a participant to leave a session if their conduct causes disruption or discomfort to others. In such circumstances, fees paid will not be refunded.
7. Intellectual Property
All materials provided during our sessions — including workbooks, handouts, spreadsheet templates, and written guides — are prepared by Quipu & Co and intended for the personal use of registered participants only.
These materials may not be reproduced, distributed, or used in a commercial context without our prior written consent. Recording sessions by audio or video is not permitted without prior agreement.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Quipu & Co shall not be liable for any financial loss, consequential damage, or indirect costs arising from the application of content discussed during our programmes.
Our liability in any circumstances shall not exceed the fee paid for the specific programme in question.
9. Privacy
How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By registering with us, you acknowledge that we will process the information you provide in accordance with that policy and with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia).
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from them shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with a revised date. The version in effect at the time of your registration applies to your booking.
