WHY QUIPU & CO
Financial education that serves
you — not a product
Here is what we think makes our work worth your time and attention, stated as plainly as we can.

What you can expect from working with us
Independent guidance
No products. No commissions. No referral arrangements. Our work is paid for by programme fees and nothing else.
Malaysian context
EPF, PRS, e-wallet reconciliation, Malaysian tax residency — the frameworks we work within are the ones you actually encounter.
Your pace
Sessions are spaced to allow reflection. We do not push participants toward decisions or next steps they are not yet ready for.
Method that fits you
Paper ledger, spreadsheet, or mobile application — the recording method is chosen to match how you actually work, not the other way around.
Strict confidentiality
Your financial figures remain within your engagement. Documents and data are not retained or shared beyond the programme without your permission.
Written materials included
Every programme includes materials designed to be re-read after the session — not just used once and filed away.
IN MORE DETAIL
A closer look at each area
Practical financial expertise
Our facilitators have backgrounds in Malaysian commercial banking, adult education, and household financial planning. Their knowledge is applied practically — to the kinds of decisions and records that working Malaysians actually deal with — rather than kept at the level of theory.
We update our materials when EPF rules, PRS structures, or tax thresholds change. We do not rely on frameworks developed for other countries and applied here without adjustment.
A structured but unhurried process
Each programme has a clear structure — participants know at the outset what will be covered and in what order. But the pace within that structure is held lightly. If a session needs to slow down to work through a question properly, it does. If a participant needs an extra week between sessions, that can be arranged.
The Pre-Retirement Reading Programme is specifically designed with gaps between sessions — not to stretch the engagement, but to allow the material to settle before moving forward.
Attentive, unhurried service
We keep our programmes small by design. Workshop numbers are capped so that questions receive real attention. In engagements, participants work directly with the same facilitator throughout — not a different person each session.
Before any commitment is made, we are glad to have an initial conversation to help you understand whether our programmes are a reasonable fit for your situation.
Transparent, all-inclusive pricing
Our programme fees are stated clearly and cover everything involved — materials, sessions, and follow-up notes. There are no upsells, no additional module fees, and no recurring charges. The family engagement fee covers all household members participating in that engagement.
- ◆ Keeping a Personal Ledger Workshop — RM 520
- ◆ Pre-Retirement Reading Programme — RM 2,280
- ◆ Family Record-Keeping Engagement — RM 3,850
Lasting, practical outcomes
Participants leave each programme with something concrete: a ledger system they understand and can maintain, a clearer picture of their retirement timeline, or a written guide to their household's own records. These are not certificates or worksheets — they are working tools.
We measure our outcomes simply: can the participant do, on their own, what the programme taught them to do? That is the question we keep coming back to when we review and revise our content.

WHAT SETS US APART
Specific things we do that others generally do not
Written guides in your own words
At the end of a Family Record-Keeping engagement, we produce a written guide that describes your household's own system — in the language your family uses, with the categories that make sense for your situation. Not a generic template.
Deliberately spaced sessions
The Pre-Retirement Reading Programme sessions are spaced two to three weeks apart. This is a design choice, not a scheduling convenience — it gives participants time to read, think, and return with questions that have had time to form properly.
Method chosen for the participant
We do not prescribe a single recording method. The Personal Ledger workshop works through paper, spreadsheet, and application options, and the facilitator helps each participant identify which approach is likely to stick for them specifically.
Household, not individual, scope
The Family Record-Keeping engagement is designed for households — not one person in a household. The review and system design covers all members' accounts, policies, and documents, and the concluding guide is written for the whole household to use.
