THREE PROGRAMMES
Programmes for different
stages of financial life
Each of our three programmes addresses a specific need. Full details, including fees and what is included, are set out below.
Return to homepageHOW WE WORK
Our approach across all programmes
Every programme we run begins from the same premise: the person in the room knows their own situation better than we do. Our role is to provide the structure, the context, and the questions — not to arrive with answers prepared in advance. We think this matters especially in financial education, where a generic answer to a Malaysian household's specific question can be worse than no answer at all.
We also hold to a consistent process for all three programmes: clear written outlines shared before any commitment, sessions that can be adjusted in pace if needed, materials written to be re-read rather than filed away, and a concluding review to confirm the participant has what they came for. For longer engagements, we check in between sessions by email or phone if that is helpful.
PROGRAMME ONE
Keeping a Personal Ledger Workshop
A one-day workshop, offered on selected Saturdays, for adults who have never kept written records of their spending and saving and would like to begin. The workshop walks participants through setting up a simple monthly ledger on paper, in a spreadsheet, or using a light mobile application — the method is chosen to fit the participant, not the other way around.
- How to categorise spending for Malaysian daily life
- Reconciling records against bank and e-wallet statements
- How to keep the ledger habit over the longer run
- Workshop materials included in the fee

PROGRAMME TWO
Pre-Retirement Reading Programme
A five-session programme for working adults within roughly ten years of planned retirement. Sessions cover the structure of EPF withdrawals, PRS considerations, the role of post-EPF income sources, healthcare cost planning, and the basics of drafting a written retirement plan. The pace is unhurried, and sessions are spaced two to three weeks apart to allow reflection.
- EPF withdrawal structure and Account 1 / Account 2 decisions
- PRS — how it works and whether it is relevant to your situation
- Post-retirement income sources and how to map them
- Healthcare cost planning for Malaysian retirees
- Drafting your own written retirement plan

The engagement begins with a review of current records across bank accounts, EPF statements, insurance policies, property documents, and investment holdings. The family and the facilitator co-design a filing and review routine, and the engagement concludes with a written guide in your own words.

STANDARDS
How we run every programme
Confidentiality of records
All financial figures shared within an engagement stay within it. Nothing is passed to third parties, and records are not held beyond the programme without explicit permission.
Current, reviewed materials
Programme content is reviewed when EPF rules, PRS structures, or relevant Malaysian regulations change. Participants receive materials current at the time of their programme.
No product sales, ever
We do not sell financial products and receive no commissions. This is not a policy — it is the basis on which the practice was set up, and it will not change.
FEES
Programme fees, clearly stated
All fees are inclusive of materials and notes. There are no additional charges.
